Iamnews is a crowdsourced newsroom that lets publishers take in videos, photos or full articles and then push out a polished news product.
The tool won the People’s Choice award at the latest TechCrunch50 and seems like the perfect solution for small publishers that are trying to make up revenue on the web.
The web interface allows you to assign people tasks and aggregate their products into bit-sized pieces that you can mold into an article. I can imagine a ton of uses, especially for small teams of bloggers trying to cover an event.
The other portion of the app is the creation of a news network…essentially the AP for bloggers. Contributors will get paid and will have reputations assigned to their work. The higher the rep, the higher the pay I would assume.
